Student Symposium of Social Sciences
On 15 October, 2016 Student Symposium of Social Sciences will be held in AUCA, CH at 9.30am. Students of Psychology, Anthropology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Sociology will present their summer internships reports at the first joint event of the Division of Social Sciences. Master students will have a separate panel "Application of Social Sciences Research and Practice to Social Change in Central Asia".

On October 10, 2016, Amal-Sher Kurbanov, a student at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), launched Meals, an application allowing users to pre-order meals and reserve tables in cafés, restaurants or any other recreation center, with the aim of saving people time.

The Law Division of AUCA kindly invites to the lecture: "A View from the Field: How International Development Aid Really Works...and How It Should"
Stephen Golub is an international development scholar, researcher and consultant who has field experience in over 40 countries across the globe; authored dozens of papers on democracy, governance, legal empowerment and the rule of law; and edited several volumes on these topics . He has taught at the Central European University, Tufts University and the University of California at Berkeley.

The Tian Shan Policy Center in cooperation with the UNDP’s Rule of Law project, supported by the British Embassy to the Kyrgyz Republic is announcing call for research proposals concerning the rule of law. Researchers are invited to address the most pressing issues related with enhancing the rule of law in the Kyrgyz Republic and bring them to the attention of policy makers and the public.

International Girls Day “Open Mic Night” at AUCA
On October 11, 2016 from 18:00 to 20:00, the Women and the Arts Club is hosting a "Stand with Girls" Open Mic Night at the AUCA in honor of International Girls Day. Tickets will be sold in the Forum at lunch time for 50 soms each. Students can either perform, or get the tickets and join the event. The ones who want to perform must sign up beforehand; nonetheless, the microphone is open to anyone who wants to perform anything!
