As part of its activities on sustainable development and environment, the Tian Shan Policy Center of AUCA has joined the Climate Network of Kyrgyzstan.
The network is non-profit alliance of legal organizations created to reduce the negative impact of climate change on the environment and human activity at the national and international level.
The participation in the network will allow TSPC and AUCA to connect and cooperate with a large number of civil society organizations working on climate change and environmental topics. Active involvement in the network also offers possibilities to advance AUCA’s research and teaching on these topics.

Dr. Mairambek Nurgaziev , faculty member from EMSD department has published a scientific article on April 13, 2018 on the topic “Agricultural Assistance to Vulnerable, Food-Insecure Female-Headed Households in Kyrgyzstan”.

Competent jury consisting of 7 experts  awarded 3 fellowships (1,000 USD each ) for the best research proposals to the following 3 students/groups of students.

The research reports will be submitted by 01 October, 2018. The students research works will be presented at the National Students Conference on Migration in the end of 2018. 
 

On 13-14 April, the Departments of 'Applied Geology' and 'Environmental Management and Sustainable Development' at AUCA organized the field trip to Kumtor mining site for students. This site tour was arranged by faculty member Rustam Orozbaev, as a part of the practicum for the course of 'Environmental and Socio-Economic Impacts of Mining'. 

Neobis AUCA in coordination with the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Computer GRAPHics and Interactive Techniques (ACM SIGGRAPH) International Resources Committee – are organizing the world-leading research and education society on Computer Graphics.

Based on high interest among AUCA students, and with the goal to raise academic research capacities of AUCA students and promote migration studies in KR in general, TSPC will award 3 fellowships for students to conduct research in migration issues pertaining to Kyrgyzstan/Central Asia.

On April 21, senior fellows from Business Administration department and members of AUCA Case Club: Adylbek Kenzhebek, Kanat Osmonov, Nurkalyy Sooronbayev and Azatbek Ismailov won business case competition KIMEP, which was held in Almaty.
