The ICP Department together with the Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies (RUSI) organizes on April 11, 2017 at AUCA a day-long workshop on illicit financial flows in Central and South Asia. Participants of the workshop are experts, government officials and development agencies working on this issue.

IOM Central Asia in partnership with TSPC (AUCA) is launching PhotoStory Project “Migrants: An Invisible Force in Central Asia”.
The project include two elements: photography and story writing and invites University Students and Artists/Photographers (citizens of Central Asia) to submit photographs.
The theme aims to draw attention and stimulate dialogue around the theme of migration through powerful photography, story writing and open discussions with government and non-government stakeholders, societies and communities.

Representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan at AUCA
On March 27, 2017 two representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan, Public Affairs Officer Lucy Jilka and Cultural Affairs Assistant Parviz Aydarshoev, visited AUCA. The U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan has been providing generous scholarships for talented students from Tajikistan to study at AUCA during several years.

This year, AUCA Law Division participates in the Annual Willem Vis Moot Competition in International Commercial Arbitration for the second time. This is a very prestigious competition in the area of international arbitration and sales law that takes place every year from September to April.

This event was organized in the format of a discussion and aimed to outline the state of publishing in the field of Central Asian Studies. How do the linguistic, institutional, disciplinary, financial and geopolitical factors influence what gets published, where and with what effects? We invited three distinguished scholars to present their views speaking from diverse experiences and institutional positions. The discussion was held in English and Russian.
