Law Division 2nd year students Bakai Abdykul uulu and Aigerim Egemberdieva, have participated in Nuremberg International Criminal Law Moot Court 2018 which took place at Justice Palace’s courtroom 600 from July 25 to July 29, where Nuremberg tribunal was established. 

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan – September 2, 2018 – The Board of Trustees of the American University of Central Asia announced today the appointment of Jonathan Becker, the Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bard College, as the new acting President of the University. Dr. Becker has been a trustee of AUCA since 2009 and has led its historic collaboration with Bard College.

The American University of Central Asia (AUCA) is delighted to announce keynote speakers for Nomadism, Mobilities and Media international conference, which will be held at AUCA, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, August 29-30, 2018. 

On June 13-15, 2018 a regional training workshop was held in Almaty (Kazakhstan) with the purpose to develop a course on international migration law and return migration within the context of Central Asia.
The course was developed by working groups from five Central Asian countries and will be used to upgrade the skills of state and municipal employees in the region.

This year archaeological practice of AUCA Anthropology Department is organised in the form of Summer Field School jointly with Indiana University students leading by Professor Anne Pyburn and Aida Abdykanova

The Institute of Education at the American University of Central Asia is hosting an International Summer School on Inclusive Education (IE2018) with participants from five countries: Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Ukraine.

At the initiative of one of the AUCA Board of Trustees members Nazira Beishenalieva, 4 AUCA students have participated in a StartUp Bootcamp held in Baku, Azerbaijan on June 18-20, 2018. The event, which was a first of its kind for the CAMCA (Central Asia - Mongolia - Caucasus - Afghanistan) region, gathered 30 participants from 8 countries.
