The diploma was presented by the Vice-Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (National Parliament) Mirlan Bakirov on behalf of the parliament’s Speaker Dastan Dzhumabekov.

The event will take place at the American University of Central Asia, on Tuesday, May 28, at 13:30.

CASI Research Seminar by Amanda E. Wooden,  the David, and Patricia Ekedahl Professor, Associate Professor of Environmental Studies, Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, will take place at AUCA on May 29. 

Dr. Ilker Corut, Assistant Professor of Sociology Department, has recently been awarded by the Association for the Study of Ethnicity and Nationalism (ASEN) and Nations & Nationalism for his article on ethno-political dimensions of patient dissatisfaction in the Kurdish region of Turkey.
