Dr. Ainura Asamidinova

Dr Ainura Asamidinova holds her PhD in Linguistics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India (2008). In 2007, she joined the Social Research Center as Research Projects Officer to facilitate projects of the Migration Research Track. Ainura initiated and implemented numerous projects on migration, including the Electronic Network on Migration in Central Asia. In 2012, when the Social Research Center was incorporated into the new AUCA Tian Shan Policy Center, she was appointed Program Manager of the Migration and Social Protection Unit.  Ms. Asamidinova has authored several papers in the area of Migration and Computational Linguistics published in local and international journals. Her areas of expertise include migration, social protection of migrants, development, and gender studies.  She currently coordinates the Center's projects on migration, including human rights issues related to domestic migrant registration and access of migrants working abroad to social protection, benefits and pensions.  Ms. Asadiminova continues issuing Weekly News Digests on Migration in Central Asia as a part of Electronic Network on Migration in CA - a unique source of information in Central Asia and Russia on current issues relating to migration policies, programs, studies and events.
